“…Academia and publishing are destroying scientific innovation”

A Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine in 2002, Professor Sydney Brenner, professor of Genetic medicine at the University of Cambridge, confirms that “peer review is hindering science”. He thinks that it has become a completely corrupt system. He said “peer review is corrupt in many ways, in that scientists and academics have handed over to the editors of these journals the ability to make judgment on science and scientists”. Elizabeth Dzeng published on her blog her conversation with Prof Brenner.
